SEASIDE BLUES

I’m by the Kenyan coast, riding motorcycles along the red dirt roads to beaches where we watch the sunset in the shade of the wild palm trees, drinking Tusker beers. The nights are pitch black and all disappears just a few meters ahead. Meanwhile the stars lie scattered like sugar above us. My hair is sandy and messy and my burnt skin taste of salt. It so slow here. I never want to leave but can’t imagine staying. Linn
