Ok, we’re approaching the tough time of October and November. Ughhhhh. I reckon we need to collectively unite and up the internet energy and together fill it with things we adore. Let’s make it sparkle:
My favourite photographer and friend Francesca Jane Allen needs money for moving homes and developing films and is selling lots of her gorgeous signed prints in A4-A2. I want this, this and this. She will most def not be poor for many more years but you can email her at email@example.com
THIS IS INSANE! Ok, so most of you know I’m a total sucker for dirty rock and especially all of the 60s and 70s. Cherie Currie, Janis Joplin, Keith Richards, Bianca Jagger, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop etc make my knees weak and my heart pop and I devour every film, novel and track made. So it is a little bit like Christmas seeing this HBO series VINYL co-produced by Sir Jagger himself together with Martin Scorsese.
This stunning dance film Lucky Thirteen produced by i-D, starring the wonder child (love love gifted kids) Maddie Zeigler who dances to the narrative voice of Chloë Sevigny. Spellbounding and full of teenage magic and angst.
And finally the queen of all sulky crybabies and sad girls over the world – Lana del Rey. Her new album Honey Moon is bruised up and teared up and so sensual. I’ve listened to the entire album at least six times, when does that ever happen? It is perhaps, the ultimate autumn brood for curing melancholic commutes to work, writing overdue essays and mourning the summer that didn’t happen. Go listen immediately, cry, unite in collective weeps and fatal heart breaks.
That’s my October sparks for you guys. What’s your Internet gold?
