MACHETE, CHILD CELEBS AND CANADIANS

1 los churros After a hellish week of me staying in to finish my final assessment this term and literally not socialising what so ever I was finally finished. Therefore I got to spend the Saturday like a proper human being. 2 los churros Since we have the most adorable little Mexican churros place on our street that’s where we brought our Canadians for a pre brunch snack. The place is called Los Churros and is located on Canrobert Street, the most hidden and domestic street one can find in London. They play mexican folk music and the only thing you can buy is churros, coffees or £1 ice cream. 3 Christina And Mexican vinyls! Christina loved it. 4 aabid And so did Aabid, in his new Man U scarf and sweatshirt purchased on their detour to Manchester. 5 aabid vicky park We then walked further east to Victoria park where the trees were blossoming. 6 daniel aabid I told them that my goal from now on was to only take pictures of badass boys under cherry blossom. But then I remember I like girls more anyway. 7 aabid machete We decided to continue the Mexican theme and went to Machete in Victoria Park Village where we had a brunch date. 10 nicole With Ian and Nicole. We ordered and starved as we waited for the food to arrive and were utterly miserable. Not really. 8 machete And there it was! And everything was just delicious, APART from my disgusting Ceviche which burnt a hole as big as a well in my tummy. So sour and bitter and acidic and all I could do was drool over everybody else’s burritos. They were all nice enough to share some with me though. 9 ian Ian the Irishman. All around us people ordered cocktails with umbrellas and palm trees and whatnot, all before 2pm. But everyday is a holiday in London. 11 honey boo boo Full we said bye to Ian and Nicole and headed up towards Hackney Central. Past Honey Boo Boo. ”I have chicken nugget fever.” We bought tickets to Wes Anderson’s the Grand Budapest Hotel which was a visual feast but an awkward story all about men and their male feelings and male contacts and occasionally a pretty lady. Bleh. 14 swedish cafe We continued up to Homerton and a Swedish coffee shop to have hot chocolates. 12 aabid Aabid. 13 christina Christina. We discussed prom dresses (ok I wish everybody would get to experience this American tradition </3) and the fact that they had a bad prom themed party! Died. They made me laugh, nonstop. It’s sick how I get such crushes on Daniel’s Canadians, they are just so great. As it started raining and then hailing while the sun still shone we went to the cinema to eat too many popcorn and then wondered around Hackney for a dinner place. 16 bella vita Seb joined and we found Bella Italia on Broadway Market where an old bouncer from Catch ran up to me to hug me and say that it was sooooo long ago, how have you been?!? like we’ve been bffs, which was more than weird. I then had the most magical pasta in this world. Clams, prawns, garlic, white wine and cod roe. <3 The night was spent in our sofa with Christina watching child celebrities perform awful tracks and eating vanilla wafers, both great obsessions. God I already miss these two.   Linn
